Timothy Hsu

Vice President of Industry & Emerging Technologies, AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation)

Timothy Hsu is the Vice President of Industry & Emerging Technologies at AAMI, and serves as a strategic leader operating at the intersection of clinical medicine, administrative strategy, and algorithmic intelligence. In addition to serving on the NAM Patient Safety in the Era of AI Steering Committee, Timothy served in the working groups for the NAM AI Code of Conduct, the Vanderbilt Health AI Maturity Model Council, and as Co-Chair of PDA Europe’s Good Digital Manufacturing in Pharma Conference. Prior to his tenure at AAMI, Timothy served at UNIDO as an International Health Industry Expert, and as Chief Collaboration Officer for the AFDO/RAPS Healthcare Products Collaborative, where he led cooperative initiatives between regulatory agencies and healthcare industry across life sciences, medical devices, AI, and pharma. Timothy’s work centers foundationally on multi-disciplinary expertise focusing at the cross-roads to build bridges across clinical and technical silos that have traditionally been barriers to a more integrated approach to healthcare innovation.
