Kathy Kopczynski

Kathy Kopczynski has been a Registered Nurse for more than 31 years, serving in a variety of roles with a strong focus on Rehabilitation, Home Health, and most recently Acute Inpatient Nurse Medical Management, where she reviews admissions for clinical appropriateness. As Director of Nursing for a 180 bed Rehabilitation Facility, she led quality of care initiatives centered on safe and appropriate medication and treatment administration, error prevention, and staff education.

A significant part of her work involved identifying patients at high risk for falls and implementing interventions to reduce those risks. Her overarching priority as Director was to ensure a safe, supportive, and well monitored environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This included evaluating outcomes, adjusting practices as needed, and promoting a culture of continuous safety improvement. This priority of positive patient outcomes carried over into her role with Home Health Nursing as well, ensuring overall safety of clients, monitoring outcomes and adjusting practices as needed based on audits.
