Carolyn Clancy

Carolyn Clancy is a physician and nationally recognized leader in health care quality, safety, and policy. Over a distinguished career in federal service and academic medicine, she has advanced efforts to improve patient-centered care, strengthen the health workforce, and ensure that evidence informs practice and policy.

Her leadership has shaped national initiatives in quality measurement, health services research, and care delivery transformation. A consistent advocate for patients and clinicians alike, she has worked to bridge policy and practice to improve outcomes across diverse populations.

As she transitions from full-time leadership Dr. Clancy remains committed to mentoring emerging leaders, advancing high-value care, and contributing to thoughtful dialogue about the future of American health care, with a strong focus on mental health care.
